The training explains how to optimize your production procedures to obtain high quality, consistent print output including getting the best out of your printer and media, overcoming common problems, printer environment and correct media storage and handling, printer & RIP operation, colour management and troubleshooting

3M Flat Glass Solar and Safety and Security Film Sales and Specifier Training, Thursday 2nd September 10.00am:
Presented by 3M’s Technical Services Manager, Michael Holderness.
This course is designed for sales, customer service, estimators or sign shop owner-operators. This course provides detailed knowledge of each type of window film, where it could be used and why. It covers how the films work and the technical considerations. It ensures the attendees have the knowledge to specify the correct film for each job, preventing costly issues before they arise.
Part 1 covers Flat Glass Tint Films only. Part 2 will cover Safety & Security Films and will follow this course after a 1-hour break. You must register for both parts. Only those who attend Part 1, can attend Part 2.

Arlon Advance Wrap Workshop with Cal James - Friday 3rd September 10.00am:

Technical Wrap Specialist, Callum James from Arlon, who was previously the head wrapper at Exotic Graphix (they won a few wrap comps you might have heard of...) is taking this workshop live online as part of our Lockdown Learning scheduled events.
Cal has over 17 years’ experience working with vinyl and is known in the industry for his creativity, precision and problem solving when it comes to graphics application.
This online workshop has been designed for specification staff, sign makers and wrap specialists at sign and print companies. It will give you a solid overview of Arlon SLX+ and cover the skills and techniques needed to successfully apply and use it. It will also feature some technical tips and tricks, like how to tackle deep channels and wrap around tight corners.
But most importantly, we want to hear from you! if you have questions for Cal then now is your chance to ask them!
We will have multiple live cameras in action in Cal’s workshop, allowing for different angles and closeups of the action.
Some of the things he will cover are:
• SLX+ and FLITE Technology overview
• Heat and tension
• Squeegee technique
• Advanced wrap techniques
• How to wrap into deep channels
• How to use pre-stretch and shrink to wrap door handles
